I like the idea of a walkable community

I think creating a walkable community is desirable. Why shouldn’t we just build it and see what happens?

Walkable communities are a fantastic idea. And we don’t have to look far to find them right here in Napa County. Calistoga, St. Helena, and Yountville are great examples of small, compact, and walkable. Smart Growth principles don’t need a new ‘city’ to prove they work. Retail, commercial, and infill housing strategies exist in all our incorporated jurisdictions. Let’s encourage and support our existing cities before building a new one.
